Forced Perspective is a technique in which you create an optical illusion to make an object appear closer or farther away than it actually is. This image creates the illusion that someone is stepping on someone a lot smaller then them. The forced perception in this picture was created by having someone a lot closer to the camera then the person in the background. The rest of the picture was all about the angle of the camera to make it look like he is actually stepping on the person.
Questions
1.) My understanding of space for this unit has changed because I now know that you can change the way things look with the perspective and the way you angle things.
2.) The exercise that was the most helpful was the one where we did the pictures, it helped me learn how to make things look smaller or bigger by just creating space in between two objects.
3.) I think that my final artwork for this project turned out better than it would have now that I understand space and how it is can be perceived.
